Giving back is part of who we are…

Giving Back is part of who we are at Woodbank. For us it’s simply about doing our bit. No matter how big or small, each of the charities we have chosen to support deliver amazing work, helping the people they support have a better quality of life.

Here at Woodbank, we believe in creating a greater sense of community and pride in the North-West, where we call home.”

In June 2023, Woodbank added to the charities we support. Speed of Sight, set up in 2012 by two friends, Mike Newman and John Galloway to provide a motor sport experience for people with disabilities. They believe that people who are able to take part in a sporting or physical activity find that it helps with their self esteem, social interaction and physical and mental well being. The wonderful, Mike Newman was awarded the British Empire Medal in the 2023 New Years Honours list in recognition for his service to people with disabilities. Himself born blind, he began Speed of Sight with his friend with a strong belief that people who are able to take part in a sporting or physical activity find that it helps with their self esteem, social interaction and physical and mental wellbeing.

A super car fan herself, this was a no-brainer for Janet: “It’s a pleasure to be a member of Inspire25Club. Mike is such an inspiration and the charity’s values really struck a cord with us. We look forward to getting involved in 2023 and beyond.”

Woodbank Supports Community Link Foundation

Woodbank Office Solutions supports the community link foundation - Logo

A charity very close to the heart of our Corporate Account Manager, Dave Duffy, Community Link Foundation provides financial support through grant funding to organisations and people who need it.

From supporting starting up a business within the community to funding in-house medical equipment for a local resident, Community Link Foundation provides a financial lifeline to people and organisations across Southport, Formby, Ormskirk, Ainsdale, Burscough, Hesketh Bank, Rufford and Banks, as well as the communities within these catchment boundaries.

Dave, a Trustee and Board member since 2014 tells us what support for the Community Link Foundation means to the organisation: “As a long-term supporter and sponsor of  Community Link Foundation, Woodbank Office Solutions have helped us to make a positive difference within our local community. It means a lot, not only for our Foundation but to me as a Trustee.”

We’re People Who Support People

Our team here at Woodbank also have a habit of doing crazy, amazing things for charity. From sponsoring a table at charity events to jumping out of a plane.

Watch Dave Duffy throw himself out of an airplane in support of The Rainbow Hub. A nursery and rehabilitation centre based in Mawdesley, Lancashire which provides fantastic services to children with brain injuries or neurological disorders.
